A Day In Art evolved out of my life as a practicing visual artist. As a visual artist I continue to exhibit in New York and abroad which gives me perspective on the art scene internationally. See jowoodbrown.com. Tours to artist studios, galleries, and museums provide the edges where multiple perspectives can converge. Client, Sara Gilbert finds that “with New York City’s vast array of art, it can sometimes be overwhelming to venture out on ones own. Jo introduces a diverse spectrum of styles, media and venues, infusing them with her enthusiasm, wisdom and a framework in which to view them. Her tours are intimate, involving and inspirational, and I always come away appreciating the aesthetic as well as the artists’ philosophical considerations.”

Wood-Brown is the founder of Artist Exchange International a program to promote an international dialogue in contemporary art issues amongst artists in various countries. An AEI program, "Through Our Eyes: Wuppertal/New York" will be hosted by The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in February 2008. Previous exchanges have been with artists from Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Tina Seligman writes in Art of the Times magazine, March 2005 issue, “Evaluating contemporary artwork is a complex issue for collectors and an art in itself, Wood-Brown has provided private studio visits and lectures on the Art of Collecting ‘to explore the range of work available in the marketplace and offer the opportunity to bring other people’s worlds into your own.’”
